America’s oldest and largest wallpaper manufacturer, York Wallcoverings has been making wallpaper since 1895 in its original location in Pennsylvania’s Susquehanna Valley. Above is a picture of the original factory on Linden Avenue, which is still in use today. Along with the building, many of the original presses used by York in the 1900s are still in operation. York Wallcoverings is one of the only manufacturers that continues to operate an original surface press – which is just one of the five types of printing used.
A well-loved fixture in the York, PA community, our company continues to thrive and grow as an American manufacturer creating some of the world’s favorite wallcovering brands. Visitors can take a tour of the historic factory, or visit the York Wallcoverings Design Center to learn about the latest fashions in wallpaper, furniture, and accessories. Opened in 1990, the Design Center also offers free design consultation service for those looking to redecorate their home.
